About the event
A weekend of exploring blacksmithing; including hammer and tong use, heating, shaping, bending, twisting, and sharpening of steel, and beeswax/coconut oil finishes.
You will have the opportunity to work on a suite of forged items from S-hook, cheese knife, fire poker and hardwood coat rack with hooks.
Rob Nansen teaches blacksmithing to all ages and facilitates a friendly and creative space for newcomers to the craft. All forge equipment, materials, safety gloves and goggles are provided. Participants are asked to wear long sleeves and pants and non-flammable clothing, with closed-toe shoes and long hair tied back.
$82 materials fee to be paid to the tutor (cash please)

Please note: entry to the workshop is down the driveway to the left of the building.
