"FESTIVAL OF PRINT"

Calling all Printmakers! Inspired by the global "Print Day in May" we would like to celebrate printmaking during the whole month of May, by holding an exhibition in our newly painted North Gallery. There will also be opportunities for printmaking workshops and a display of the 10 x 10cm prints from the “Fat Cats and Dodgy Dogs” Print Exchange.

KEY DATES:

1 January 2026 – Exhibition Entries Open 

19 April 2026 – Exhibition Entries Close

2-3 May 2026 – Artworks delivered to 38A Bank Street, Port Fairy.

4 May 2026 – Hanging of Exhibition

7 May 2026 – Opening of Exhibition at 38A Bank Street, Port Fairy.

31 May 2026 – Exhibition closes at 4pm

1 June 2026  - Artworks to be collected

TERMS and CONDITIONS for ENTRY

Venue: “Glyph Gallery and Creative Space”, 38 Bank St, Port Fairy, 3284

 

1. Eligibility

  • Participation is open to all artists who complete the entry form on the Glyph Gallery website and pay the entry fee. ($15 per entry)

  • All artwork submitted must be hand-pulled prints (not digital/giclee), uncopied and created by the artist.

  • 2D and 3D prints are welcome, although we cannot accommodate video installations at this time.

  • A maximum number of three entries per artist is permitted.

 

2. Submission Guidelines

  • Framed works will be hung on the gallery dropper and hook system and unframed works will be hung with pins if tabs are provided or with magnets. 

  • Groups of small works are to be entered as either individual items and sold as such or as a collection and sold as a group. They cannot be entered both ways.

 

3. Artwork Delivery and Collection

  • All artworks must be delivered to the gallery between Saturday 2nd May and Sunday 3rd May, during business hours (10am-4pm).

  • Entries must be delivered free of all charges. No payment whatsoever will be made by SW Makers Association for freight or other charges incurred in delivery or return of the entry

  • Each work must be clearly labelled with the artist name, the title of the work and sale price. Labels must be securely attached to the back or under side of the work.

  • All entries must be received in accordance with entry closing dates & times. Late entries may be accepted, but they may not be catalogued.

  • Collection of unsold work must occur on Sunday 1st June, or by negotiation with the exhibition team. Glyph Gallery is not responsible for artworks left beyond this period.

 

4. Installation and Display

  • The exhibition team will be responsible for curating and installing the work.

  • Special display requirements must be communicated in advance and may be subject to approval.

 

5. Sales and Commission

  • All artworks entered for the exhibition shall be for sale.

  • The Sale Price shall include any applicable Goods & Services Tax (GST).

  • Glyph Gallery shall be entitled to retain 20% commission on all artwork sold during the exhibition.

  • Prices must be agreed upon before the exhibition opens and cannot be changed mid-show.

  • Payments for sold works will be processed within 14 days after the exhibition’s end.

 

6. Insurance and Liability

  • SW Makers Association will exercise all reasonable care in handling the works submitted, but will not be responsible for the loss of or any damage to any works while in their custody. It is strongly recommended that artists organise appropriate insurance for their works.

  • The gallery is not liable for any loss, theft, or damage to the artworks during transit, handling, or display.

 

7. Promotion and Publicity

  • By participating, artists grant Glyph Gallery the right to use images of their submitted work for promotional purposes with proper credit.

  • The gallery will promote the exhibition through its website, mailing list, and social media channels.

 

8. Withdrawal

  • Artists must notify the gallery at least 14 days in advance if they wish to withdraw their participation.

  • The gallery reserves the right to remove any work from the exhibition for any reason, including but not limited to issues of copyright infringement, inappropriate content, or safety concerns.

 

9. Agreement

  • Submission of entry form and artwork constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
