MOSAICS with LEISA McCOSH

Workshop times: 10 am - 4 pm on Saturday 4 July and then 10 am - 1 on Sunday 5 July.

Come and learn the basics of mosaics in a relaxed atmosphere.

You'll learn about different substrates, glues and design ideas while making a trivet, house number etc to take home and use in your own home. We willl use a basic break, glue and grout method. Cutting tools will be availbe to use as well.

If you have some experience with mosaics and want to use the workshop for some personal time out and continue learning you can bring along your own project or substrate.

Information pages with ideas, materials and websites will be given to all particpants if they would like to continue the practice at home. 

Ideally the first day is to create and clean your project, and then after allowing it to cure overnight the grouting will happen the second day. 

Materials fee $10 to be paid in cash to the tutor onthe first day. All materials will be supplied. (if you have any tiles or broken crockery that you would like to use this could be brought along as well.) . Please bring tile cutters/nippers if you have them

Tea and coffee provided, and please bring a drink, lunch/snacks  if you want, an apron and wear enclosed shoes.

The workshop will run from 10 am - 4 pm on Saturday and then 10 am - 1 on Sunday.

Please note: entry to the workshop is down the driveway to the left of the building.
