​The Wall of Wings is an international community-based art project designed to raise awareness for our migratory shorebirds. People of all ages and skills are invited to contribute cut-out prints of individual migratory shorebirds. These are attached directly to the venue wall, thus creating a dynamic “wall of wings”. All contributed prints depict migratory shorebirds e.g. migratory species of plover, sandpiper, godwit, curlew, knot etc.  The Wall of Wings was initiated by artist Penelope Lawry as part of the Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery Overwintering Project exhibition in 2019-20.
