CREATIVE TOY MAKING

Workshop for kids: Suitable for young people 8 to 14 years approx.

Design and build your own original character, creature, or sculptural toy using model-making, kitbashing, and painting techniques. Inspired by art toys, collectibles, and pop culture, participants will transform found objects, recycled materials, and toy parts into a unique creation to take home. Learn construction, assembly, painting, and finishing methods while developing your own ideas and character designs. Discover how toy makers create personality, meaning, and storytelling through their work.

This hands-on workshop encourages experimentation, imagination, and playful making. Suitable for beginners and experienced makers alike, participants will leave with a finished piece and practical techniques to continue creating at home.

Warranambool based, Leonard Higgins is from the Toy Makers Club! A creative arts studio specialising making miniatures, monsters and characters inspired by fantasy, sci-fi, pop culture and tabletop games. In the Toy making Club Leonard is combining his artist skills with his teaching practice to give young peole the skills to realise their creative inspiration.

Refund Policy​To assist in the management of this workshop a cancellation process is essential. Your cancellation must be emailed to:  info@swmakers.com.au

Cancellations to up until 6 weeks before the workshop – refund 80% of workshop fee paid. Cancellations after that date 50% refund.Glyph Gallery & Creative Space reserves the right to cancel a workshop if the minimum class enrolment is not reached 1 weeks before the workshop is due to commence. If a workshop is cancelled, participants will be offered a full refund
