About the event
Botanical Printing Three Ways
Flowers and foliage provide endless inspiration for creating images on paper and fabric. Over two days you will learn several techniques for transferring floral and leaf shapes, including gelatin plate mono printing, tannin/iron printing and watercolour transfers. These works can be stand alone art, collage pieces or used as backgrounds for more printing, drawing, painting or stitch.
Please bring an apron and strips of fabric approx 30cm wide - in light colours: either cotton or linen. Second hand sheets work well as it is well washed, if using new fabric it needs to be very well washed/scoured - this is to remove the dressing in new fabric.
