About the event

We are having a special information session for members (and anyone else who would like to become a member!). Glyph Gallery and Creative Space have been fortunate to acquire a variety of equipment with funding from the Moyne Shire Community Assistance Fund. Members are welcome to use this equipment in the workshop area, following an induction process to ensure that it is used safely and maintained in good condition.

Firstly, Sally Forrest will be demonstrating the best way to take photographs of your artwork with the background screen and lighting. Jenni Larsen will also be available to take high quality photos of artists for their biographies, as well as for use on our social media.

You will receive information about the Glyph Gallery service to supply and cut matt board for artworks on paper, so they can be mounted and wrapped in cellophane for sale in the shop. Britt Gow will demonstrate the safe operation and maintenance of the printing press and UV light exposure box. You can bring along any printing plates you have and we will discuss the differences between relief (lino and woodcut) and intaglio (drypoint, etching, collograph) printmaking and assist you to follow procedures to create clear prints. Ink and paper will be supplied ($10) for those wishing to print their own plates.
