UP-CYCLED AND RESTRUCTURED CLOTHING with CATHERINE O’LEARY

You've heard the catchcry, "Recycle, Reduce, Reuse" - in this fabulous workshop - over two days - we will be working with renown textile artist Catherine O'Leary to learn how to combine recycled clothing and fabrics into compositions of stunning beauty. Do you have old clothes that don't fit any more? You can use them and repurpose them in this workshop! You can make a brand new garment from a combination of old jumpers and cardigans. It is a great way to repurpose knits which have some damage. You are welcome to bring a favourite clothing pattern to use as well. The garments will then be made into well-fitting, flattering garments.

Catherine O’Leary is an Australian fibre artist who uses textiles as a medium to express herself creatively. Trained in Fine Arts, feltmaking has been a passion for many years with a special focus on garments and sculptures. Catherine has exhibited widely in Australia and overseas, has several published books and enjoys teaching and meeting other textile artists. You can read more about Catherine at her website HERE. 

Refund Policy​To assist in the management of this workshop a cancellation process is essential. Your cancellation must be emailed to:  info@swmakers.com.auCancellations to up until 6 weeks before the workshop – refund 80% of workshop fee paid. Cancellations after that date 50% refund. Glyph Gallery & Creative Space reserves the right to cancel a workshop if the minimum class enrolment is not reached 2 weeks before the workshop is due to commence. If a workshop is cancelled, participants will be offered a full refund if preferred or a full refund
